An early start
Growing up in Saskatoon, Kaydon‘s initial love for hockey shifted when he moved to British Columbia and discovered golf during a visit to a local pitch n’ putt with his father. Captivated by the game, he spent endless days perfecting his skills, eventually progressing to junior golf and securing memberships at prestigious courses. Even while working in the backshop of his home course, he continued to compete in local amateur events.
At the age of 17, Kaydon combined his athletic prowess with academics, accepting scholarships and relocating to Victoria for post-secondary education. Graduating with honors in 2015 from Camosun College’s professional golf management program marked a significant achievement in his journey.

Getting serious about golf operations
Post-graduation, Kaydon delved into refining his teaching and business acumen, serving in various capacities at a 36-hole championship golf business as back shop supervisor, event coordinator, and proshop manager. His professional trajectory led him to join the Eaglequest family in 2018, where he contributed as the assistant professional and league director until December 2023 to then joining Duntroon Highlands early this year.
Teaching Expertise
Discovering a passion for teaching, Kaydon directed the “Littles” (4-6yo) development program and authored multiple teaching guides for league clinics, as well as junior and adult private programs. Rooted in a teaching philosophy that emphasizes creating a complete golfer, he focuses on imparting skills that bring short-term enjoyment while nurturing core abilities for long-term success.
