At Duntroon Highlands Golf, our sustainability vision is driven by a commitment to both our community and the natural environment.
As proud signatories of the Sustainable Golf pledge and participants in the Regional Tourism Organization‘s Greenstep Sustainable Tourism 2030 Pledge, we’re dedicated to making a positive impact. In particular:
> Fostering nature,
> Conserving resources,
> Strengthening communities,
> Taking climate action.
We are reducing single-use plastics to lessen our environmental footprint, replanting trees through our Celebration Tree program, prioritizing the protection of wetlands, grasslands, and forests to support carbon sequestration, and conserving water usage wherever possible given we are 100% dependent on the Escarpment’s springs.
We proudly support local charities, specifically:
> The Collingwood General & Marine Hospital Foundation and local cancer care
> Organizations connecting youth with nature, encouraging active lifestyles through golf, pickleball, walking and biking
By the end of 2025, we’re excited to achieve impactful milestones, including raising over $50,000 for community causes, planting over 1,000 trees, and creating a guest experience that is free of single-use plastics.
Together with our guests and team, Duntroon Highlands is aiming to be the most sustainable golf course serving Collingwood, Blue Mountains, Wasaga Beach, Stayner, Creemore and the broader South Georgian Bay region.
