Chef Jim Hockley

Duntroon Highland’s would like to welcome our new Executive Chef Jim Hockley. Born and raised in Collingwood, Jim has worked at many local restaurants before studying Culinary Arts at Canadore College in North Bay. After College, Jim acquired his Red Seal certification from the Canadian Culinary Federation of Chefs and Cooks in 1999.  Jim has worked at some of the local ski resorts around the area, and was the Executive Chef at Chaudiere Lodge Fishing Resort on the French River for 3 seasons. Jim has also owned a successful restaurant in Barrie, and came back home to Collingwood and started his own catering company. He was recently the Sous Chef at Cranberry Golf Resort in Collingwood. We know that Jim is very excited to take the lead role in the Food & Beverage department here at Duntroon Highlands. Jim has brought some new twists to some old classics on our menu, and will also be offering Catering Year Round for your convenience.
